Initial payment
A deposit to confirm the project and begin research.
Mid-project payment
A second installment at an agreed milestone during the research.
Balance on completion
The remaining balance is due when your report and materials are ready to deliver.
Prefer to pay in full upfront? That's perfectly fine too — just let me know. Payment is accepted by cheque, money order, or e-transfer.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does research take?
Most projects are completed within 3–6 weeks depending on complexity and record availability. I'll give you a realistic timeline before we begin.
What if you can't find what I'm looking for?
Genealogy research doesn't always yield the answer we hope for — records can be lost, destroyed, or simply never created. I'll always be honest about what's possible and document every avenue explored.
Do you work with families outside Canada?
Yes. While I specialize in Canadian records, many families have roots in the UK, Ireland, Eastern Europe, and the US. I'm comfortable researching across borders.
